Pray for the Archdiocesan Synod

Holy Spirit, 

renew your wonders in our time, as though in a new Pentecost, 

and grant that this Archdiocese, 

united in prayer around Mary, the Mother of Jesus, 

and guided by St. Peter, 

may spread the Kingdom of the divine Savior, 

a Kingdom of truth, of justice, of love, and of peace.

Amen.

Espíritu Santo,
renueva tus maravillas en nuestro tiempo, como en un nuevo Pentecostés,
y concede que esta Arquidiócesis,
unida en oración en torno a María, la Madre de Jesús,
y guiada por San Pedro,
pueda extender el Reino del divino Salvador,
un Reino de verdad, de justicia, de amor y de paz

April 2022: Surrender

That on our journey together on the path of synodality, we may bravely surrender to God whatever keeps us from achieving unity in the Body of Christ, we pray to the Lord.

May 2022: Gratitude

That in unison with Mary’s Song of Praise, we may offer gratitude to God for blessings received and graces anticipated in our upcoming Synod, we pray to the Lord.

June 2022: Pentecost

That as we enter in, and emerge from, the Synod Assembly this Pentecost, the Holy Spirit will inflame our hearts to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ more energetically throughout the entire Archdiocese, we pray to the Lord.

Prayer for the Year of Saint Joseph

Heavenly Father,

Who gave St. Joseph to Jesus and Mary

As protector and guide,

Grant that our Archdiocesan Synod,

Under his protection and guidance,

May help us discern your direction for our Church.

May we listen as he listened,

Trust as he trusted,

Obey as he obeyed,

Receive as he received,

Love as he loved,

And share in his life of devotion to Jesus and Mary.

Amen.
